Survey Authorization

This authorizes Insta Close Title to order a survey of the property listed below in connection with our purchase/sale/refinance.

We authorize Insta Close Title to select the survey company. If you have a preferred surveyor, please let us know. Surveys typically cost between $250 and $350, though the price may be higher depending on property size, location, land use, and other factors. Properties in flood zones requiring an elevation certificate may incur an additional fee of $100 to $400 or more.

We understand that we are solely responsible for paying the surveyor for their services, regardless of loan approval or transaction closing.

The survey fee is due upon delivery of the survey and can be paid at closing via the closing statement. However, payment must be made upon survey delivery.

This obligation includes payment even if the contract is canceled. If escrow funds are held and the file is canceled, we authorize Insta Close Title to pay the survey fee from any funds returned to us.

If the deposit is paid to the seller or another party, we agree to pay Insta Close Title the survey fee within 10 business days.

We authorize Insta Close Title to share our name, address, and phone number with the surveyor for payment purposes.

I am paying cash for the property and decline a survey.
